A member’s first login
The first time you enter SalesControl as a team member, the app asks you to complete your profile before it lets you work: language, time zone, phone, Google Calendar and your weekly availability. Without those, nobody can book a call with you and no call lands on your calendar. You only do it once.
Anyone with a Team card linked to their account: setters, closers, PMs, sales managers — and the admin too, if they have a member card. An admin with no card in Team never sees it. There is no “skip” button and no way back: the screen covers the app until it has what it needs.
You only see the steps you are missing
There are five steps, always in this order, but only the incomplete ones show up: if the admin already filled in your phone number on your Team card, you never see that step. At the top you get the Step n of m counter, where the total is what was missing when the screen opened.
- Language — “Which language do you want to use SalesControl in?”. Five buttons: Italiano, English, Español, Deutsch, Français. It applies to the app and to the notifications you receive, and it takes effect immediately.
- Time zone — a dropdown with every time zone, already set to the one from your device. Your availability and the Agenda are read in this zone.
- Phone — a number the agency can reach you on, with the international prefix. An invalid number is refused: “Enter a valid number with the international prefix”.
- Google Calendar — the Connect Google Calendar button takes you to Google’s consent screen and then brings you back here. Write access to events is required: bookings create the event with Google Meet on your calendar, and your own commitments block the slots.
- Weekly availability — the hours you are available for calls, day by day. Above the editor there is the time zone of your ranges again: the hours you enter are read in that zone and SalesControl converts them for prospects and colleagues. At least one range is required. Saving creates (or updates) your personal booking page.
Even for people who never take calls. And not just any connection: if you linked Google back when read-only access was enough, the step tells you so (“The current connection only has read access: reconnect to grant write access”) and asks you to link it again.
Every step saves straight away
There is no “save everything” at the end: each step writes its own value the moment you confirm it, with the same writes as My profile. Closing the browser halfway loses nothing: next time you log in you restart from the first step still missing. When none are left, the screen closes on its own and you are in the app.
There is no “onboarding done” flag: completeness is read from the data. So if you revoke Google’s access tomorrow, the Google step alone comes back at your next login; and if a save fails (no network, say) you see “Couldn’t save, please try again” and the step stays where it is.
Where to change them later
- Language, time zone, availability and the Google connection: in My profile, in their own sections. That is also where you set duration, buffer and notice for bookings, which the first login does not ask for.
- Phone: an admin changes it from the member’s card in Team (Phone field, Details section).
If something goes wrong
- “Google Calendar isn’t configured for this installation”: this is neither your problem nor the agency’s, report it to support.
- “Connection failed”: happens when the consent is cancelled or expires. Press Connect Google Calendar again.
- “Add at least one time slot”: you emptied every day. One range is enough to move on, you can refine it later from your profile.
Without those five things a salesperson ends up bookable on hours they never chose — at night, even, if they work from another time zone — and calls never reach their calendar. Five minutes at the first login are worth far more than the trouble they prevent.
